Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Retiring NASCAR icon Dale Earnhardt Jr. was given a horse named 'Sarah Jessica Parker' as a gift from the Texas Motor Speedway.
Earnhardt received the odd gift on Friday. Texas Motor Speedway posted a video of the presentation on Twitter and Facebook.
In the 41-second clip, Texas Motor Speedway president Eddie Gossage rides the horse into a television studio set.
"SJP is the name of the horse," Gossage said. "Sarah Jessica Parker.

Earnhardt does not own any other horses but he did say that he likes animals. He also admitted to being a little nervous around the large mammal.
Texas Motor Speedway is sponsoring another horse in Earnhardt's name at Victory Therapy Center, a therapeutic horse ranch in Flowermound, Texas. That horse goes by Chevy.
"With all the integrity and seriousness that a man sitting on a horse inside of a building can offer, I want to thank you and congratulate you for all you've meant to this sport, what you've done for this sport just by being you," Gossage said. "I appreciate how you've conducted this sport on and off the track."

The Speedway also gave Earnhardt a piece of the scoreboard from the 2000 DirectTV 500, Earnhardt's first win in NASCAR competition.

"That's the one," Gossage replied.
Earnhardt and wife Amy also received a child's car stroller from the speedway, filled with onesies. The couple married on New Year's Eve. The Earnhardts announced they were expecting their first child, a baby girl, in October.
"Excited to share the wonderful news that @mrsamyearnhardt and I are expecting our first child," Earnhardt wrote on his social media accounts on Oct. 16. "A little girl!!!! We are both thrilled and can't wait to meet her."
These are far from the first gift Earnhardt has received on his career victory lap. Earnhardt has also gotten Sonoma wine, a basket stuffed with stuffed puppy dogs, paintings, a jukebox, muskets, charity donations and even one of his dad's old NASCAR cars.
The 43-year-old has three races left in his full-time career in the NASCAR Cup Series. Earnhardt is running in Sunday's AAA Texas 500 Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway. It will be his final appearance at the track.
