Gregorius, seeking more votes from his home base in New York, went to the subway and offered customers free rides if they'd support his cause in the Final Vote, which will end Thursday evening and sends one additional player from each league to the All-Star Game in Miami.
Gregorius trailed Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas, Boston Red Sox infielder Xander Bogaerts and led Texas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus and Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Logan Morrison at 11 a.m. Thursday.
