By Alex Butler

June 27 (UPI) -- LaVar Ball took off his shirt and challenged The Miz in one portion of Monday Night Raw at the Staples Center.

The Big Baller Brand CEO brought sons LaMelo and Lonzo to the WWE event. The Miz announced the family would appear on the USA Network broadcast Monday afternoon.

LaVar entered the ring after an announcement for his youngest son LaMelo. He high-stepped in as fans booed in the Los Angeles arena. The crowd also jeered when he ran down the ramp and slid into the ring, flailing around.

Then came the announcement for Lonzo. The audience stood up and roared for the former UCLA star, taken by the Lakers with the No. 2 overall selection in Thursday's 2017 NBA Draft.

The trio appeared on a Miz TV segment.

Four mannequins made a cameo during the performance. The mannequins sported Big Baller Brand T-shirts.

{q:"Well understand that you are in a WWE ring with the Michael Jordan of WWE," The Miz told LaVar during an animated exchange.

"What? 'Melo, handle my lightweight," LaVar responded. "Handle my lightweight son. Handle it. I'll unleash."

"Oh what, you gonna unleash all of the Balls on me?" The Miz asked.

"I don't wanna deal with your kids, mouth, I just want to deal with you. Because you do a lot of this (talking) and all I want you to do is prove it."

"Boy, you better stay in your lane," Ball said, referencing his controversial quote from earlier this year.

"Or what, LaVar?" The Miz asked.

"Or the hunt is on and you're the prey," Ball said. "You want that belt?

LaVar proceeded to rip off his shirt and challenge The Miz.

"Put your clothes back on, buff man," LaVar told The Miz before disrobing.

Dean Ambrose then entered the ring while wearing a Big Baller Brand tank top.

"There are only two dudes better than me. And I'm both of them," LaVar also said during the broadcast.

As expected, everything didn't go perfectly during the segment featuring live microphones.

At one point in the broadcast, LaMelo used a racial slur. The WWE issued a statement about the "inappropriate language." LaMelo is a UCLA commit entering his junior season at nearby Chino Hills High School.

"The inappropriate language used by a guest during the 'Miz TV' segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE's values," the wrestling league said in its statement to the Los Angeles Times.

The Miz, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas went on to beat Ambrose, Heath Slater and Rhyno.

"The atmosphere was crazy," Lonzo told WWE after the fight. I haven't really seen anything like that before. I'd definitely be open to do it again."

"The fans here are crazy. If it's like that during the game, I'll have a lot of fun too."
