The Los Angeles Rams released defensive tackle Tyrunn Walker after a report surfaced that he has been accused of sexual assault in Lafayette, La. No charges have been filed against Walker, who was released Thursday.
Lafayette authorities are concluding an investigation into claims of sexual assault lodged by two women against Walker and an acquaintance on Feb. 28, according to a report by the Baton Rouge Advocate.
The Advocate reported that Walker and another man are "accused of forcing themselves on an unconscious woman at a hotel after a night of drinking at a nightclub." The alleged assault involved two women who were college students at the time, the report said.
One of the women told The Advocate that she believes she was drugged while drinking at a dance club.
A restraining order was granted against Williams, and another was requested against Walker.
Walker, 27, was signed as a free agent in March after playing the last two seasons with the Detroit Lions. He was expected to be a possible backup for tackles Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers.
