Consecutive bases-loaded walks to Quincy Nieporte and Cal Raleigh put Florida State ahead to stay Monday as it stayed alive at the College World Series with a 6-4 win over Cal State Fullerton at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb.

Trailing 4-3 in the top of the seventh, the Seminoles (46-22) loaded the bases with no outs on an infield single by Taylor Walls, a double by Dylan Busby and an intentional walk to Jackson Lueck. Nieporte and Raleigh were each behind in the count at 1-2 before securing walks from reliever Blake Workman after 2-2 pitches narrowly missed.

Matt Henderson capped the rally with an infield single as Florida State advanced to an elimination game Wednesday night against the loser of the Oregon State-LSU game. Those teams play Monday night.

Fullerton (39-24) used a two-out, three-run rally in the bottom of the sixth to take its brief lead. Dillon Persinger swatted a double to score Scott Hurst, and Timmy Richards cracked a two-run homer to the bleachers in left-center, his sixth of the year.

That knocked out Drew Parrish, who carried a one-hitter into the sixth inning. Parrish was charged with four runs on four hits in 5 2/3 innings, walking three and striking out four.

The Seminoles' bullpen worked 3 1/3 scoreless innings, with Chase Haney (3-2) picking up the win after retiring the only two batters he faced. Closer Drew Carlton got the last four outs for his seventh save.

Titans starter John Gavin lasted only 3 1/3 innings, undone by throwing only 38 strikes in 79 pitches. He allowed two runs, one earned, on three hits while walking four and striking out two. Five Cal State Fullerton pitchers issued a total of eight walks.

The Titans got the tying runs aboard in their half of the ninth, but Hank LoForte looked at a called third strike to end their season.

Jack Pabich (1-3) absorbed the loss.
