May 8 (UPI) -- Conor Jack McGregor Jr. was born at 8 p.m. Friday in Dublin, Ireland.

His UFC superstar father posted several photos this weekend showing off his new son, following his delivery at Coombe Maternity Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Junior weighed 8 pounds and 14 ounces, according to the Irish Mirror.

McGregor Jr. might follow his dad into the Octagon. The baby has some power in his right fist, according to his dad.

"We can land the left paw from anywhere. Who wants it," McGregor posted on a social media photo with his son.

And McGregor's new baby already has more Instagram followers than you. McGregor and girlfriend Dee Devlin created the social media account for their son under the name @ConorMcGregorJr. The account is verified and has more than 53,000 followers.

Dad has 12.7 Instagram followers and 4.02 million Twitter followers. He has more than 5.3 million Facebook followers.

"Dee and Junior are doing great everyone," McGregor captioned on one of his photos on social media, featuring Devlin and his son. "Thank you for all the kind words, I am one proud and blessed Daddy."

McGregor and Devlin have been together for more than eight years.

According to Forbes, the 28-year-old from Kildare, Ireland had an $18 million salary/winnings last year with $4 million in endorsements.

McGregor last fought in November, beating Eddie Alvarez in UFC 205 to win the UFC lightweight title. The "Notorious" (21-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) is still finalizing a deal to fight against boxer Floyd Mayweather.
