Eight nationally televised matchups, including a game between the Chargers and Rams at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Aug. 26, highlight the NFL's 65-game preseason slate released Monday.

"Our entire organization couldn't be happier to open the preseason with our fans at the Coliseum," Rams coach Sean McVay said. "We play four quality opponents that will help us prepare for the regular season and this announcement is another reminder that we are one step closer to returning to football."

The NFL schedule for the 2017 regular season will be announced by the league later this spring.

Week 3 of the preseason, which runs Aug. 24-27, has five national broadcast games and is the point of the exhibition schedule when most teams allow their starting personnel to play into the second half.

The Kansas City Chiefs visit the Seattle Seahawks (Aug. 25, CBS). The Chargers and Rams will square off the following night on the same network. Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback turned CBS broadcaster Tony Romo could be in line to debut as an analyst for either game.

The Chicago Bears will travel to face the Tennessee Titans (Aug. 27, FOX), the Cincinnati Bengals will visit the Washington Redskins (FOX) and the Minnesota Vikings will host the San Francisco 49ers (NBC) to complete the day's action.
