ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Toronto Blue Jays, already struggling at the plate, may be without one of their best hitters in third baseman Josh Donaldson.

Donaldson, who hit a solo home run in the first inning Sunday, left the game with right calf tightness after he tried to beat out a ground ball deep to third base in the sixth inning. Donaldson was slow coming off the field and was pulled from the lineup, with Ryan Goins replacing him the next half-inning.

Donaldson is hitting .348 this season with two home runs and three RBIs.
