April 7 (UPI) -- UFC's Pearl Gonzalez and Cynthia Calvillo will enter the Octagon on Saturday after Gonzalez's doctor told New York sports authorities her breast implants will not present a health hazard.

The fight had been ruled off of the UFC 210 card early Friday morning after it was discovered that Gonzalez had breast implants, according to MMA Fighting. Despite breaking a New York State Athletic Commission rule against allowing fighters with breast implants, the fight was allowed back on the main card for Saturday following a review.

"After careful consideration and review, including a conversation with Pearl Gonzalez's treating physician, the commission has determined that Ms. Gonzalez is medically cleared to participate in the UFC 210 event in Buffalo, NY," the NYSAC wrote in an email to Newsday.

NYSAC rules specify: "Due to the concern over rupture, boxers who have breast implants are not eligible to box in New York. Boxers who have had breast reduction surgeries are eligible to box."

Gonzalez, 30, cut weight for the strawweight fight Friday morning. The NYSAC told her the news after weigh-ins. Gonzalez [6-1] will be fighting in her UFC debut against Calvillo [4-0], who beat Amanda Cooper last month at UFC 209.

Calvillo weighed in at 115.5 pounds while Gonzalez hit 116 pounds on the scale.

Despite the report from MMA Fighting, other reports have stated that the fight was never canceled, but only reviewed. Calvillo confirmed the cancellation when she told MMA Fighting that she hoped the decision would be overturned. ESPN reported that the fight was approved after the NYSAC met with Gonzalez's physician.

UFC president Dana White also contradicted the report.

"STOP listening to web sites and whoever," White tweeted Friday. "If u don't hear it from us it's probably not true. THIS FIGHT IS ON!!!!"

UFC 210 is set for Saturday at the KeyBank Center. It is headlined by the light heavyweight championship bout between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson. Cormier beat Johnson by submission on May 23, 2015 at UFC 187.
