Former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is making a return to the octagon.

UFC president Dana White told the Los Angeles Times on Friday that St-Pierre signed a deal to return after vacating his title to take an indefinite break in November 2013.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed and a date and opponent for his return fight have not yet been announced.

"He's back. I'm excited," White told the Los Angeles Times. "We worked at it for a long time and finally got it done."

St-Pierre (25-2) last appeared in a match in the main event of UFC 167, posting a split-decision victory over Johny Hendricks.

The 35-year-old Montreal native cited a need for time off following the bout, but also questioned the UFC's drug-testing policies. In 2015, the UFC introduced a policy enforced by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).

St-Pierre hasn't lost a match since a 2007 first-round knockout to Matt Serra. He answered that setback by defeating Serra in April 2008.
