Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin did not rule out center Maurkice Pouncey for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys despite the three-time Pro Bowl selection undergoing surgery on his dislocated thumb.

"He's going to have the ability to snap," Tomlin said on Tuesday, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "We'll give him a couple days to let it calm down from the procedure."

Pouncey initially sustained the injury on the second play from scrimmage of Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. The 27-year-old Pouncey, who was limited to just 19 snaps, was able to return to the contest before exiting again in the second half.

Pittsburgh (4-4) will look to end a three-game losing skid on Sunday (4:25 p.m., ET) against Dallas (7-1), a winner of seven in a row.
