The San Francisco 49ers promoted running back DuJuan Harris from their practice squad on Saturday to add depth at the position.
Shaun Draughn or Mike Davis will start in Hyde's place.
The 5-foot-7, 206-pound Harris joined the 49ers last Dec. 22. In two games (one start) with San Francisco last season, he had 27 carries for 140 yards along with nine receptions for 97 yards.
In 2016, Harris was inactive for two games, released from by the 49ers on Oct. 1 and signed to the practice squad on Oct. 3.
In order to make room on the roster, the 49ers waived defensive tackle Taylor Hart.
The 6-6, 281-pound Hart joined the 49ers after being claimed on waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 5. He appeared in one game this season, making two tackles.
