Heavyweight boxing champ Tyson Fury backs off retirement talk

Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury suggested on social media Monday that he is retiring -- days after he reportedly failed a drug test -- but a few hours later said he is "here to stay."

In a profanity-laced message on Twitter, Fury wrote in part, "Boxing is the saddest thing I ever took part in ... I'm also retired ... happy days."

However, the 28-year-old Fury released another tweet three hours later which reversed his decision.

Fury's tweets come three days after an ESPN report that he tested positive for cocaine on Sept. 22. Fury is likely to be stripped of his heavyweight world title belts he won after beating former champion Wladimir Klitschko by unanimous decision on Nov. 28.

Fury, who has a 25-0 record with 18 knockouts, had been set for an Oct. 29 rematch with the 40-year-old Klitschko (64-4), but the English boxer pulled out of the fight last week for unspecified reasons.
