Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham was reportedly arrested over the weekend on a misdemeanor concealed weapons charge at an airport in Miami.

According a TMZ Sports report Monday, Bradham was arrested Sunday for bringing a loaded gun into Miami International Airport. The gun was in his backpack when he sent it through the X-ray machine at security, where TSA workers discovered it. TMZ reported that Bradham said he forgot the gun was in his bag and then showed TSA his concealed-carry permit.

Bradham was taken into custody and booked for a second-degree misdemeanor concealed weapons charge, according to the report. He was released from custody later that day on a $500 bond.

The Eagles released a statement on the incident: "We are aware of the report regarding Nigel Bradham. We have been in communication with Nigel and the authorities regarding the situation. As it is a pending legal matter, we have no further comment at this time."

The Eagles (3-0), who had a bye in Week 4, next practice on Wednesday as they prepare for Sunday's game at the Detroit Lions.

In July, Bradham was arrested in Miami after he was accused of assaulting a hotel employee following a verbal altercation. Police said the employee suffered a broken nose and contusions to the face.

"You don't want that to be part of your legacy at any time throughout your career and it's my first year here," Bradham said on July 28, while talking about his previous arrest. "I just started and I definitely didn't want to start out with that being in the news and everything."

Bradham told reporters Monday that he has a hearing related to the July incident this week, but he did not mention his latest arrest.

The 27-year-old Bradham came to the Eagles in March from the Buffalo Bills and signed a two-year, $7 million contract. He has totaled 10 tackles and an interception in three games this season.
