CHICAGO -- Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron exited Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears because of injuries to his right knee and ankle, but he returned in the second quarter.

Ebron sustained the injuries with 3:14 to go in the first quarter. He was blocking during a running play, and several other players pushed into him from behind and appeared to cause his leg to be twisted.

The three-year veteran walked off the field under his own power. Trainers followed him as he headed to the locker room.

In his first three games of the season, Ebron caught 14 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown.
