Eli Apple sustained a hamstring injury midway through the second quarter and was ruled out for the rest of the contest. Fellow cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie injured his groin midway through the third quarter and is questionable to return.
Apple, the Giants' first-round draft pick, has been rotating on the outside with Rodgers-Cromartie. He had one tackle in the game prior to having to exit. Trevin Wade took Apple's snaps on defense and Leon Hall replaced Rodgers-Cromartie.
Redskins cornerback Bashaud Breeland suffered a leg injury on the Giants' second possession.
On the play, Breeland attempted to help on a tackle of rookie receiver Sterling Shepard on a 12-yard reception that gave the Giants a first-and-goal. It looked like Breeland was stepped on the play and had to be helped off the field where he was carted off for further examination. Breeland is questionable to return.
Washington left guard Shawn Lauvao will miss the remainder of the contest after sustaining an ankle injury prior to halftime, the team announced.
Trent Williams moved from left tackle to guard to replace Lauvao.
Also, Redskins center Kory Lichtensteiger, who was poked in the eye earlier in the game, injured his calf on the first series of the second half.
The Redskins' reshuffled offensive line was Morgan Moses (right tackle), Brandon Scherff (right guard), Spencer Long (center), Williams (left guard) and Ty Nsekhe (left tackle).
