Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy avoided facing criminal charges in connection with a night club brawl earlier this year.

But on Tuesday, two Philadelphia policemen made sure McCoy would face a civil lawsuit involving that incident.

McCoy, along with three other men, and the Recess Lounge were named as defendants in the lawsuit.

The altercation began over a bottle of champagne and according to the police report one of the off-duty officers was punched and knocked to the ground, and then was punched, kicked, and stomped on.

The NFL investigated the incident earlier this year and decided not to charge McCoy.
