The Dallas Stars said Saturday that center Tyler Seguin had an MRI that revealed a hairline fracture in his heel.
Seguin sustained the injury Sept. 9 during Team Canada's World Cup of Hockey exhibition game against the United States in Columbus, Ohio.
"Upon returning to Dallas yesterday, Tyler Seguin underwent an MRI that detected a hairline fracture in his heel," Stars general manager Jim Nill said in a statement. "His status for training camp will be re-evaluated in one week."
The Stars open the NHL exhibition season Sept. 26 against the St. Louis Blues.
