The Washington Redskins re-signed veteran defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins on Wednesday.

Jenkins, 35, was signed by the Redskins on Aug. 29 and appeared in the preseason finale against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, recording three tackles and a sack on 18 defensive snaps. He was released on Sept. 3 as the Redskins got down to their 53-man roster.

The 6-foot-2, 305-pound Jenkins, entering his 13th sseason, has totaled 333 tackles with 47.5 sacks and eight fumbles forced during his career with the Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.
