Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Ra'Shede Hageman might face league discipline after being charged with three misdemeanors in a domestic violence case.

The charges in March stemmed from an incident in DeKalb County (Ga.) with the mother of his child, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Hageman, 26, was charged with interfering with a call for emergency help, battery family violence and cruelty to children in the third degree.

The NFL has been in contact with the Falcons about the incident, according to the newspaper.

Hageman was inactive for the season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

The 6-foot-6, 318-pound Hageman was selected by the Falcons in the second round (37th overall) of the 2014 draft. He recorded 27 tackles and one sack in 16 games last season.
