Chicago Bears wide receiver Kevin White and right guard Kyle Long are questionable for Sunday's regular-season opener at Houston.

White was a limited participant Friday for the second consecutive practice due to a hamstring injury and was not made available to media.

Long, 27, signed a four-year contract extension earlier in the week but is not a lock to play as the Bears employ a strategy to handle two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt of the Texans.

Long spent part of training camp in a walking boot but is listed on this week's injury report with a shoulder injury.

Watt had offseason surgery but said Wednesday he will be on the field for Week 1. Watt claimed he could play the entire game but coach Bill O'Brien did not rule out limiting his snaps.

The 27-year-old said this week that there were times early in his rehab after back surgery in Philadelphia when he wondered whether he would play again.
