Kevin White's long-awaited debut could be on hold for another week.

White, a first-round pick of the Chicago Bears in 2015, sat out last season with a lower-shin injury and was limited in Thursday's practice with a hamstring injury. He was not on the injury report Wednesday.

The Bears open the 2016 regular season at Houston on Sunday.

White did not play in a game last season but did practice late in the year and participated in spring workouts in 2016.

With Alshon Jeffery looking to rebound from an injury-plagued 2015 in another contract year -- Jeffery is playing this season under the franchise tag -- the Bears viewed White as a potential co-No. 1 receiver in the offense now under the direction of Dowell Loggains.
