Center Kevin Seraphin has agreed to a two-year, $3.6 million deal with the Indiana Pacers that includes a team option in the second year, according to The Vertical.

Despite having 15 players with guaranteed contracts, the Pacers decided to sign Seraphin following a workout.

The 6-foot-9 Seraphin is known for his physical defensive presence despite being undersized. The six-year veteran averaged 3.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 11.0 minutes in 48 games for the New York Knicks last season after spending his first five NBA seasons with the Washington Wizards.

Seraphin was a first-round pick by the Chicago Bulls in 2010.
