The Detroit Lions released wide receiver Andre Caldwell from the reserved/injured list on Monday.

Caldwell sustained a broken bone in his hand last week and was placed on injured reserve.

Signed to a contract in May, Caldwell saw his chances of making the roster dim after veteran wide receiver Anquan Boldin was brought in on the heels of Calvin Johnson's retirement.

Caldwell reeled in 10 receptions for 72 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games last season with Denver. The 31-year-old has 156 career catches for 1,509 yards and 11 touchdowns in eight seasons with Cincinnati and the Broncos.
