The Denver Broncos added depth to their ailing defensive line on Monday by signing free agent tackle Henry Melton.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed for the former Pro Bowl selection, who is expected to help fill the team's void of losing starter Vance Walker to a season-ending knee injury.

Melton collected 131 tackles, 22.5 sacks and six fumble recoveries in seven seasons with Chicago, Dallas and Tampa Bay.

The 29-year-old recorded 30 tackles, two sacks and two fumble recoveries during his lone season with the Buccaneers in 2015.

Denver also waived offensive guard Sam Carlson.

Carlson, who has played in both of the Broncos' preseason games, originally was signed by Tennessee as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State.
