Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant will not play against the Seattle Seahawks this week due to a concussion.

Bryant a concussion in Monday's practice and will not play Thursday. He's unlikely to play in the preseason finale next week, as per team custom, meaning he would not suit up until Sept. 11 against the New York Giants.

Bryant has four catches for 74 yards and two touchdowns in the first two preseason games in his comeback from offseason foot surgery. Bryant played only nine games last season after signing a five-year, $70 million deal on July 15.

His poor production was in part a byproduct of a revolving door at quarterback. Bryant recorded a career-low 31 receptions for 401 yards and three touchdowns in 2015.

While Bryant won't be on the field, the Cowboys do expect rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott to make his preseason debut. He's been out with a hamstring injury and Darren McFadden, the veteran many expected to share the load with Elliott, has missed 10 weeks with a broken elbow.
