The Indianapolis Colts signed free agent punter Michael Palardy on Saturday to give them an extra kicker in training camp.

The 5-foot-11, 191-pound Palardy most recently spent time with the Baltimore Ravens in training camp before being waived on Aug. 3. Prior to Baltimore, he spent part of the 2016 offseason with the Carolina Panthers. In 2015, Palardy was with the St. Louis Rams during the offseason and training camp before being waived. He spent part of the 2014 season on the Oakland Raiders' practice squad. He was originally signed by the Raiders as an undrafted free agent on June 5, 2014.

Collegiately, Palardy played in 46 games at Tennessee and handled both the kicker and punter duties. He connected on 37 of 50 career field goals and his 74.0 percent conversion rate ranked third in school history. Palardy recorded 117 punts for 5,024 yards and ranked second in Volunteers history with a 42.9 average. As a senior in 2013, he was one of seven players in the Football Bowl Subdivision to handle all three kicking phases and the only left-footed specialist to do all three.
