Trent Richardson was handed yet another setback in his NFL career on Tuesday as the beleaguered running back was waived by the Baltimore Ravens.

The 26-year-old's stint with the Ravens lasted a mere three months, with a hamstring injury in the first week of offseason workouts getting him off on the wrong foot. A knee scope late sent to him to the physically unable to perform list to begin training camp.

Richardson, who was selected by Cleveland with the third overall pick of the 2012 draft, has been on the roster of four teams in as many years but has not played in the league since 2014.

Baltimore added undrafted wide receiver Chuck Jacobs to the roster to replace Richardson, who excelled as a rookie out of Alabama by rushing for 950 yards and 11 touchdowns in his first season with the Browns.

Richardson never regained that form after being traded to Indianapolis, finishing with 614 carries for 2,032 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns in 46 career games with the Browns and Colts.

Richardson signed with Oakland prior to last season before getting cut in August.
