The Detroit Lions removed offensive tackle Corey Robinson from the physically unable to perform list on Monday and signed free agent linebacker Raphael Kirby.

Robinson was placed on the PUP list on July 24 for undisclosed reasons. A 2105 seventh-round pick out of South Carolina, Robinson appeared in one games last season.

Kirby is an undrafted free agent out of Miami of Florida. He totaled 124 tackles (62 solo), one sack, two forced fumbles and two interceptions in 39 games.

Kirby sustained a season-ending ACL tear in October and when he was injured, he was Miami's leading tackler. The injury prevented him from participating in most drills at the February NFL Scouting Combine but he raised the bar 27 times on bench presses, second most among linebackers at the event.

The Lions also waived linebacker Dominique Tovell, who was signed as a free agent last week. Tovell originally signed with New Orleans in May as an undrafted rookie out of Louisiana-Lafayette.
