The Kansas City Chiefs gave offensive tackle Eric Fisher a contract extension Saturday.

"We were able to reach an agreement with Eric and his representatives on a contract extension," general manager John Dorsey said in a press release. "In three seasons he's grown significantly as a football player in our system. He's a tough, physical presence and a leader on our offensive line. We look forward to keeping him as a part of our organization and community."

Kansas City made Fisher the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 draft after a stellar career at Central Michigan.

In three seasons, Fisher has started 43 of 46 games played. He has played in all 32 regular-season games the past two years. In 2015, he started 14 games as he lost his left tackle job prior to the season opener but eventually won it back.
