Sankey recorded 153 tackles in 2015 and was named as a first-team All-Big Sky Conference selection during his senior season at Sacramento State.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 250 pounds, Sankey collected 330 tackles, 12.5 sacks, one interception and four forced fumbles in 43 games with the school.

Sankey is the third Sacramento State player to join the Broncos along with linebacker Todd Davis and tackle Lars Hanson.

Casey Kreiter is the lone long snapper on the team following the relase of Theus, who was signed by the Broncos as a college free agent in April.
