The Chicago Bulls added depth to their backcourt on Wednesday by signing guard Isaiah Canaan to a contract.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the team for Canaan, who averaged a career-high 11.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists with Philadelphia last season. The 25-year-old connected on 176-of-485 3-point attempts in 2015-16.

"We are excited to add Isaiah to our group," Bulls general manager Gar Forman said in a statement. "We feel his ability to knock down perimeter shots will be an asset to our team."

A second-round selection of Houston in the 2013 draft, Canaan has averaged 9.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 146 career contests with the 76ers and Rockets.
