The Detroit Pistons officially welcomed guard Ish Smith and forward/center Jon Leuer into the fold by signing the pair to multi-year contracts on Friday.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed by the team for Smith and Leuer, who agreed to play in the Motor City on the first day of NBA free agency. The Detroit News reported that Smith's contract was for three years and $18 million while Detroit Free Press detailed that Leuer's pact was for four years and $41 million.

"Ish is a player that will give us quality depth at the point guard position," said Stan Van Gundy, Pistons president of basketball operations and head coach. "He's efficient scoring the basketball, posted career-high numbers in assists per game a year ago and rebounds well for his size.

"Jon is a player that adds size and versatility to our roster. His outside shooting ability gives us offensive flexibility and his ability to guard the post will help from a defensive standpoint. We look forward to integrating both their talents into our system."
