The 30-year-old journeyman guard was convinced to join the Knicks in part by newly-signed center Joakim Noah, who recruited Lee. The former Chicago Bulls big man joined New York on a four-year, $72 million deal Friday.

He spent the first half of the 2015-16 season with the Memphis Grizzlies before being traded to Charlotte on Feb. 16.

Between the Grizzlies and Hornets, Lee averaged 9.6 points in 79 games.
