Victoria Azarenka withdraws from Wimbledon due to injury

Sixth-ranked Victoria Azarenka has withdrawn from Wimbledon because of an injured right knee.

The two-time Australian Open champion hurt the knee during a match at the French Open and hasn't played in a match since the injury.

The Belarus native had reached the Wimbledon semifinals twice and the quarterfinals on two occasions.

Wimbledon begins on Monday.
