Lee Westwood of England, Sergio Garcia of Spain and Dustin Johnson were tied for third, three shots off the lead. Westwood made it through 15 holes at 1-under for the day. Garcia was even through 13 and Johnson was 2-over after 12.

Lowry sprinkled five birdies in during his incomplete round and had two bogeys.

Landry, playing in his first major, was the 18-hole leader after an opening 66 before falling out of first after a 71 in Saturday morning's delayed second round.

The 28-year-old rookie birdied No. 7 to retake the lead in the third round, but gave it back with a bogey two holes later. He was even through 13 holes before play was stopped.

Day took advantage of moving day, jumping from a tie for 45th to a tie for eighth with Bryson DeChambeau, Daniel Summerhays and Zach Johnson after shooting a 66. Day is six shots off the lead.

Spieth is tied for 29th and trails Lowry by nine shots after shooting an even-par 70 on Saturday despite opening with three birdies on his first four holes. His second nine included a double bogey and bogey before finishing with a birdie and five consecutive pars.

Branden Grace of South Africa also surged into contention, tying Day for the best performance of the round with a 66. He is in sole sixth, four shots behind Lowry.
