Former No. 1 overall draft pick Jake Long is still unemployed but the veteran offensive tackle says he is ready to play with a new team.

Long, a 31-year-old free agent, was drafted in 2008 by the Miami Dolphins and became a four-time Pro Bowler. After five years in Miami, knee injuries derailed his time with the Rams in St. Louis, where he tore his right ACL in 2013 and again in 2014. He spent last season with the Atlanta Falcons, where he appeared in four games and started none.

"I'm finally healthy," Long told ESPN on Saturday before coaching at the University of Michigan Big Man camp in Ann Arbor. "This is the healthiest and best I've felt in probably about five, six years. My knee's back. I've just been working out, feeling good and ready for the opportunity when it comes along."

The 6-foot-7 Long, who is down to 308 pounds, worked out for the Chicago Bears earlier this month but was not signed.

"When I wake up and my knee doesn't hurt, you know what I mean," Long said when asked about his health. "I feel the strength back. You can see it. You can feel it. My body feels good the way I'm moving, working out and how good I feel moving on it."
