Costa Rica and Paraguay played to a scoreless draw in the Copa America tournament Saturday in Orlando, Fla., in a Group A match marred by a red card and five yellows.

Costa Rica's Kendall Waston received a red card during stoppage time and will be ineligible to play against the United States on Tuesday in Chicago.

A fight almost broke out when Waston fouled Dario Lezcano in the 77th minute, but cooler heads prevailed in the Florida heat.

Costa Rica nearly won it in the 89th minute when Celso Borges was denied by goalkeeper Justo Villar.
