Alan Pulido: Mexican soccer star rescued after kidnapping

Mexican soccer star Alan Pulido has been rescued almost 24 hours after he was kidnapped.

Mexican police rescued Pulido, who appeared with a bandaged hand at a brief press conference on Monday.

"I'm very well, thanks to God," Pulido, looking visibly shaken, said in front of the media

Officials said the rescue operation was carried out Sunday night. Authorities haven't divulged details of the kidnapping or the motive.

Pulido, 25, went missing after leaving a party in his hometown of Ciudad Victoria, which is located in the northern border state of Tamaulipas.

Pulido is a forward for Olympiacos of Greece and was a member of Mexico's 2014 World Cup team.
