Kansas City left fielder Alex Gordon will miss three to four weeks after breaking a bone in his hand after a collision with teammate Mike Moustakas in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox.

The Royals placed Gordon on the disabled list and recalled infielder Cheslor Cutbert from Triple-A Omaha.

Even though Gordon got the worst of the collision, Moustakas also was banged up, but not as bad. He is listed as day-to-day with a contusion on the outside of his knee. He did not play Monday against the Twins.

Gordon has struggled this season -- in 166 at-bats, he's hitting .211 with only four home runs and 10 RBIS in 42 games.
