The Cleveland Browns on Monday released wide receiver Brian Hartline.

Hartline, a native of Ohio and former Ohio State standout, signed with the Browns in 2015 after six seasons with the Dolphins. Last year, he appeared in 12 games with four starts and totaled 46 receptions for 523 yards and two touchdowns.

The 30-year-old became expendable after the Browns selected four receivers, including No. 15 overall pick Corey Coleman in the draft last month.
