Former Cleveland Browns C Tom DeLeone dies of brain cancer

Former Cleveland Browns standout center Tom DeLeone died on Sunday after a five-year battle with brain cancer. He was 65.

DeLeone, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, played with the Browns from 1974-84. One of his Pro Bowl seasons was in 1980 when Cleveland won a division title and quarterback Brian Sipe was named NFL MVP.

DeLeone was inducted into the Cleveland Browns Legends in 2011.

He was diagnosed with cancer the same year and succumbed to the disease on Sunday at his home in Park City, Utah.

DeLeone also played two seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals before joining the Browns. He played in 176 games (104 starts) during his 13-year NFL career.
