Unemployed running back Arian Foster hopes to pass a physical soon after tearing an Achilles tendon last season.
The Houston Texans released Foster, the franchise's career rushing leader, in March. He has missed 23 games because of injuries the past three seasons.
Foster, who turns 30 in August, rushed for 163 yards and one touchdown in four games last season. He has 6,472 career rushing yards and 54 touchdowns.
According to a Pro Football Talk source with knowledge of the situation, Foster expects to pass a physical within the next few weeks.
