The Washington Redskins waived safety Tevin Carter, the team announced Monday.

Carter is a 6-1, 215-pounder who played two seasons at Utah (2014 and 2015). He was not taken in this year's NFL Draft and was signed as a free agent.

Carter began his college football career at California, but never played for the Bears. He spent time at two junior colleges before going to Utah.
