Atlanta Braves acquire C Anthony Recker in trade

The Atlanta Braves acquired catcher Anthony Recker from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for cash considerations, the teams announced Monday.

Recker, 32, was hitting .246 with two home runs in 19 games for Triple-A Columbus. He was assigned to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Recker has played five seasons in the major leagues, with the New York Mets, Chicago Cubs and Oakland A's.

He played in 32 games for the Mets last season, hitting .125 with two homers.
