PORTLAND, Ore. -- Golden State guard Stephen Curry won't play in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinal series against the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night at the Moda Center.

Curry, who has been out for nearly two weeks with a sprained right knee, worked out for the first time in a two-on-two situation with Warriors assistant coaches on Saturday afternoon before Game 3.

"Steph came out of it fine," Golden State coach Steve Kerr said. "He's not going to play tonight, though."

Will the workout impact Curry's chances to play in Monday night's Game 4?

"It's another good step, another good sign," Kerr said. "We'll see how it goes (Sunday). We'll put him into a three-on-three (workout) and see how he does."

Kerr was asked if Curry has asked the coach to let him play.

"No," he said with a smile, "but I imagine that's coming soon."
