Los Angeles Rams pick up options on WR Tavon Austin, LB Alec Ogletree

The Los Angeles Rams exercised the fifth-year options on wide receiver Tavon Austin and linebacker Alec Ogletree for the 2017 season.

The moves mean the Rams will pay Austin $12.268 million and Ogletree $8.369 million in 2017. Both players were first-round picks in 2013.

Austin 25, led the Rams in 2015 with 52 receptions and five touchdowns and was third on the team with 473 yards. He has played in 44 games for the Rams over the last three years. Austin also rushed 52 times for 434 yards and four touchdowns and ran his streak of seasons with a punt return touchdown to three.

Ogletree, 24, has been a starter since joining the Rams but missed 12 games last season with a broken leg. He made 42 tackles and two sacks in four games. Over three seasons, Ogletree has 270 tackles, 3.5 sacks and three interceptions in 36 games.
