ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins made a minor move to fill what could soon be a major hole on their roster at the NFL Draft in Chicago on Thursday, selecting Texas Christian wide receiver Josh Doctson with the No. 22 pick.
General manager Scot McCloughan had hopes of acquiring a big haul of picks early in the draft. Trading back is his preferred method dating to his days as an executive in San Francisco and Seattle. But the Redskins needed only to drop one spot to acquire a sixth-round draft pick in 2017.
