HOUSTON -- Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry will undergo an MRI exam on Monday after injuring his right knee against the Houston Rockets on Sunday.

Curry slipped on a wet spot as the first half drew to a close and limped to the locker room at halftime of Game 4. Golden State defeated the Rockets 121-94.

Curry suffered a right knee strain, the team announced.

"I just feel so bad for him," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said after the contest.

Curry missed Games 2 and 3 with a right ankle injury. He returned to the starting lineup for Game 4 and missed 7 of 9 shots in the first half, shooting just 1 of 7 on 3-pointers while pairing six points with five assists in 18 minutes before suffering the knee injury.

Curry returned to the court during halftime, briefly warmed up but returned to the locker room as the third quarter commenced.

Curry practiced without issue on Saturday and arrived at Toyota Center on Sunday pain-free for the Western Conference first-round game.

The reigning league MVP said he wanted to play in Golden State's 97-96 loss to Houston on Thursday night. The teams split the two games Curry was out.

Rockets guard Patrick Beverley departed late in the second quarter with a right leg strain and was declared out during the intermission.

Golden State lead the series 3-1.
