Memphis Grizzlies sign G Jordan Farmar to 10-day contract

The Memphis Grizzlies signed guard Jordan Farmar to a 10-day contract Monday.

Farmar, 29, has appeared in 490 games (30 starts) across eight NBA seasons and averaged 7.7 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 19.4 minutes with the Los Angeles Lakers, New Jersey Nets and Los Angeles Clippers. He holds career shooting percentages of 42.3 percent from the field, 37.4 percent from 3-point range and 73.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Farmar has played 69 postseason games (six starts), all with the Lakers, and averaged 5.1 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 15.0 minutes. He played in three consecutive NBA Finals from 2008-10, winning back-to-back championships in 2009 and 2010.

Farmar was selected by the Lakers in the first round (26th overall) of the 2006 NBA draft out of UCLA.
